TBI occurs in 12% of the population

Writing in Neuroepidemiology Dr. Frost and colleagues from Department of Psychology, Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, USA.look at the Prevalence of Traumatic Brain Injury in the General Adult Population. The group report that 12% of the population had a history of TBI with men having more than twice the odds of having a TBI. TBI is a considerable public and personal-health problem due to adverse behavioral, cognitive and psychiatric effects associated with TBI and its high prevalence.
