Predicting functional parameters in the community after Inpatient Stroke Rehabilitation

Published in PM&R, 03/05/2013  Physical medicine and rehabilitation Dr. O’Dell looks at admission outcome measures and their power in predicting gait speed, falls, and other functional parameters in the community after Inpatient Stroke Rehabilitation – IRU discharge. The team from Division of Rehabilitation Medicine, Department of Public Health, Weill Cornell Medical College USA find that the Berg Balance Scale (BBS) and Postural Assessment Scale for Stroke (PASS) performed equally well in the study.
