Writing in Clinical Interventions in Aging Dr. Harrisonand his team from University of Leicester, Leicester, UK look at which outcome assessments can be used in order to better quantify a stroke–survivors recovery. In regards to  functional assessment the team discuss movement impairment scales for the upper and lower limb, activities of daily living scales e.g the Barthel Index, the Modified Rankin Scale scale that describes “global disability” with a focus on mobility and quality of life QOL scales.
