Improving walking ability following incomplete spinal cord injury

Writing Topics in Spinal Cord Injury rehabilitation Dr/ Stevens and his group investigate how Daily Step Activity in Adults With Incomplete Spinal Cord Injuries can be predicted by looking at the measures of lower extremity strength (LES), preferred walking speed (PWS). The group found that DSA can be predicted from knowledge of LES and PWS in adults with iSCI and suggest that working on increasing LES and PWS during physical therapy and physiotherapy may improve community walking behavior following SCI.
